Bringing together an array of local talent and musicians from this world-class orchestra,\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Libera Nos\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is an inclusive performance that celebrates the power of music to unite communities across the globe. S<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">cored for five soloists, a mixed choir, a children\u2019s choir and a full symphony orchestra, this is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the very first multi-faith oratorio to be premiered anywhere in the world.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At the helm, Derek Carden will conduct the London Mozart Players, who will be joined by 100 musicians and singers from local orchestra Hastings Sinfonia, Hastings Music Centre Junior Choir, a new specially-formed choir \u2013 the \u2018Libera Nos Chorus\u2019, and an all-star cast of talented local soloists that include: Sharon Gamble-Tyner, Linda Grace, Matthew Scott Clark and Stephen Hollowa<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">y. In preparation for the performance, t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">he choirs involved will be coached in a workshop with renowned conductor and choral animateur Dominic Ellis-Peckham.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Libera Nos<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, meaning \u2018\u2019Deliver us\u201d in Latin, aims to convey and unite the traditional beliefs and spiritual messages of all main world religions using music and narrations inspired by Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism and Islam.<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<span data-contrast=\"auto\">Written by the award-winning local composer Polo Piatti,\u00a0<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Libera Nos\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">was originally commissioned by the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mus<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ica<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Sacra organisation and took over three years to be researched and completed.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Polo talks about the story behind this monumental work:\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u2018Its message is based upon the observation that the world has become a deeply divisive, unjust and unhappy place because we continue disconnecting from each other.
