Now they return to Brighton Dome this March as part of Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra\u2019s Sunday afternoon concert series, bringing their own unique style to the world\u2019s greatest music.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe like to think of the piano as a symphony orchestra\u201d<\/em> said Steven Worbey. <em>\u201cWe like to utilise the piano to its full potential.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.larkreviews.wickedlemon.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Worbey-Farrell-.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5884\" src=\"https:\/\/www.larkreviews.wickedlemon.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Worbey-Farrell-.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"285\" height=\"177\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Having performed everywhere from the Royal Opera House to the maiden voyage of Cunard\u2019s <em>Queen Mary 2<\/em> to ITV\u2019s This Morning, their work is diverse, ranging from a two-month sell-out run in Vienna of the Canadian smash-hit play, <em>Two Pianos<\/em> <em>Four Hands,<\/em> to performing in shows with the late Mickey Rooney in the USA.\u00a0In 2018 they made their debut with the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra playing Malcolm Arnold\u2019s <em>Piano Concerto<\/em> and Saint-Sa\u00ebns\u2019 <em>Carnival of the Animals<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the pieces performed in this concert is a unique arrangement which can take months to finesse. Their version of Queen\u2019s <em>Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em>, described by Worbey as &#8220;<em>very rhapsodic!\u201d<\/em>, took a year to orchestrate. With Prokofiev\u2019s classic <em>Peter &amp; the Wolf<\/em>, the audience are told to expect a very different ending.\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s Peter &amp; the Wolf with a difference\u201d<\/em> says Kevin Farrell. <em>\u201cIt\u2019s normally set in Russia; ours is set in Doncaster.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Expect a show for all the family, as Worbey &amp; Farrell give the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra the weekend off and take centre stage on their single piano stool.
