I am very\u00a0proud of our achievements to date and am grateful to the extraordinary people I work alongside.\u00a0When I arrived, the ENO was in crisis and the\u00a0company&#8217;s survival was in real doubt. I am delighted that\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_-881208787209301189xxbumpedfont15\">we have brought stability and secured ENO&#8217;s future.\u00a0My successor will be able to focus on ensuring that the ENO\u00a0continues to produce\u00a0award-winning work at the heart of the UK opera scene.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-881208787209301189xxs5\"><span class=\"m_-881208787209301189xxbumpedfont15\">Dr Harry\u00a0Brunjes, Chairman\u00a0of ENO,\u00a0added:<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"m_-881208787209301189xxbumpedfont15\">\u2018Cressida\u00a0has\u00a0turned around our fortunes to deliver financial security,\u00a0while keeping us\u00a0on a solid creative footing.\u00a0Cressida has\u00a0led\u00a0the\u00a0ENO back into the Arts Council England\u2019s National Portfolio\u00a0and brought together a leadership team who the Board are\u00a0confident can continue to help ENO thrive and develop.\u00a0<\/span>On behalf of the Board\u00a0it has been a pleasure to observe her courage and positivity in the face of ENO&#8217;s immense challenges.
