From his insightful\u00a0<em>The Marriage of Figaro\u00a0<\/em>in 1978 to his charming and witty\u00a0<em>The Elixir of Love\u00a0<\/em>in 2010, Jonathan has provided the company with fifteen productions, many of them now staples of our repertoire. Only last season his classic productions of<em>The Barber of Seville\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>The Mikado\u00a0<\/em>returned to our stage. In 2015\u00a0<em>The Mikado\u00a0<\/em>celebrated its 200th show, with over 20,000 people attending this run of performances. In February 2017 his legendary \u2018Mafia\u2019 production of\u00a0<em>Rigoletto\u00a0<\/em>will be seen once again at the London Coliseum.<\/p>\n<p>For one night only ENO celebrates this great director\u2019s phenomenal contribution to the Company. Some of the UK\u2019s best loved opera singers will come together to perform excerpts from many of his productions \u00a0including\u00a0<em>The Mikado<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Rigoletto<\/em>,<em>The<\/em>\u00a0<em>Barber of Seville<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Elixir of Love<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Marriage of Figaro<\/em>,\u00a0<em>La traviata<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Tosca\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Carmen<\/em>.\u00a0The evening also offers a rare chance to enjoy a series of filmed\u00a0interviews with the man himself.<\/p>\n<p>The all British cast features representatives from some of the productions first performances through to the latest generation of artists to have benefitted from Miller\u2019s experience.\u00a0 Performances include\u00a0Bonaventura Bottone performing \u2018Wand\u2019ring Minstrel\u2019 (<em>The Mikado<\/em>), Alan Opie with Germont\u2019s aria \u2018The sea and soil of Provence\u2019 (\u00a0<em>La traviata)<\/em>, Andrew Shore with \u2018To a doctor of my class\u2019 (<em>The Barber of Seville<\/em>)\u00a0and\u00a0Richard Suart<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>with his infamous \u2018Little List\u2019 (The Mikado). They are joined by a host of ENO favourites including Peter Auty, Susan Bullock, Graeme Danby, Jean Rigby, Mark Richardson, Sarah Tynan and Roland Wood alongside ENO\u2019s award-winning chorus and orchestra conducted by Peter Robinson and Martin Fitzpatrick.<\/p>\n<p>For almost 40 years audiences at the London Coliseum have been thrilled and delighted, moved and entertained by more than 1,000 performances of Jonathan\u2019s work.
