Founded by chorister Richard Long,\u00a0Noteworthy is a mixed choir of about 20 members. Their fine \u2018a cappella&#8217; debut in 2015 was highly rated by local audiences.<\/p>\n<p>As Epiphany is the season of gladness, hope and light, Musical Director Ansy Boothroyd has chosen a beautiful programme of atmospheric and joyful pieces:\u00a0Morten Lauridsen\u2019s much-loved work\u00a0\u2018O Magnum Mysterium\u2019\u00a0is complemented by two earlier versions from\u00a0Victoria\u00a0and\u00a0Poulenc. Other delights in store include works by\u00a0Tavener, Grieg and Tchaikovsky\u00a0as well as favourite modern classics such as Peter Gritton\u2019s \u2018Winter Wonderland\u2019: rich close-harmony at its very best.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This is our first concert in St. Nicolas Church\u2019s 800<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary year and we are delighted to welcome \u2018Noteworthy\u2019 back to begin our season of concerts, after a very successful first visit last year,\u2019 says George Stephens, Deputy Churchwarden.<\/p>\n<p>The concert is at St Nicholas Church Pevensey, on the 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0of January 2016 at 7.00p.m. Tickets \u00a36 on the door.
