{"id":2339,"date":"2015-05-27T14:07:20","date_gmt":"2015-05-27T13:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.larkreviews.co.uk\/?p=2339"},"modified":"2015-05-27T14:08:09","modified_gmt":"2015-05-27T13:08:09","slug":"rambert-dance-company-to-work-with-garsington-opera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.larkreviews.wickedlemon.co.uk\/?p=2339","title":{"rendered":"RAMBERT DANCE COMPANY TO  WORK  WITH GARSINGTON OPERA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">As the curtain goes up on <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Garsington Opera\u2019s<\/strong><\/span> fifth season at Wormsley, Douglas Boyd, Artistic Director, is delighted to announce the 2016 season which will include a collaboration with the dance company Rambert on Haydn\u2019s\u00a0<i>The\u00a0Creation<\/i>.\u00a0 The season will also feature a further three new productions: \u00a0Tchaikovsky\u2019s\u00a0<i>Eugene Onegin,<\/i>\u00a0conducted by Douglas Boyd and directed by Michael Boyd, Rossini\u2019s\u00a0<i>L\u2019italiana in Algeri\u00a0<\/i>conductor David Parry, director William Tuckett and Mozart\u2019s<i>Idomeneo<\/i>\u00a0with Tobias Ringborg conducting and Tim Albery directing.<\/p>\n<p>Rambert \u00a0will be the first dance company to appear on the stage at Garsington Opera.\u00a0 Together with Garsington Opera orchestra, chorus and soloists, Haydn\u2019s masterpiece\u00a0<i>The Creation<\/i>\u00a0will be conducted by Douglas Boyd and brought to life by choreographer Mark Baldwin, who is Artistic Director of Rambert and visual artist Pablo Bronstein.<\/p>\n<p>Douglas Boyd said:\u00a0\u00a0<i>We want to celebrate our wonderful Opera Pavilion and Garsington Opera in every possible way and I am delighted to be collaborating with Rambert.\u00a0 Bringing together different art forms is something that I believe enhances and compliments our opera festival as we continue to explore partnerships with some of the most vibrant arts organisations of our time.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Mark Baldwin said:\u00a0<i>Music and cross art-form collaboration have always been an integral part of Rambert\u2019s work and a particular passion of mine. I am hugely excited to be collaborating with Garsington Opera and Pablo Bronstein on this very special project which will see Rambert\u2019s world-class dancers join the incredible Garsington soloists, orchestra and chorus.
